Pastries are delicious and tempting, but we should encourage healthy eating! overall a very good experience. we felt motivated to rise to the challenge of being officers. I wish everyone else had been able to make it to this training. I especially liked the breakout sessions. I found them very useful and pertinent.

Publicity:6 Facilities:9 Location:9 Presentations:8 Break-out Sessions:8 Did you feel welcome?9 Did you meet new people?10 Food:2 Conference Time:7 Sufficient time to network?7 Brief Comments:The networking session right after the opening was chaotic and went on too long. Some people did not use the time for networking, spent the time connecting with friends and jammed up the aisles, blocking others who wanted to circulate. I personally tried to introduce myself and meet the "first-timers" and some inaccessible because (1) they were more comfortable with their fellow club members and (2) because it was impossible to move through the crowd. Good idea - but some structure is needed - like a task "turn to your neighbor and ask ......". Or, make a point of talking with five first-timers before you leave today. Also, there were not enough handouts. This happens all the time at these events. Why not print an extra 20-30 more than what is expected. The speakers referred to information in the handouts. If there are not enough handouts, the speakers should have done a little altering and explained in more detail so handouts were not needed. Also, when people asked when information would be posted on the site (since there were not enough handouts) the mantra was "I don't know". Why is there not a production commitment from the webmaster on when new information is posted ahead of time? A better answer would have been "Our webmaster has committed to having all the changes and updates on the website by next weekend". That would have been an appropriate answer. There was nobody tending to the beverages, no hot water, not enough cups, coffee pots were drained. The food area was not well placed because of the groups of people blocking it. Better placement of the food and beverages is needed.
